My name is Thomas Martini, I first started playing football as a young kid and instantly fell in love with it and knew I wanted to continue into college. My junior year of high school my dad was diagnosed with leukemia and due to struggles at home I lost focus of school and playing football. I joined the Marine Corps to give myself a fresh start and possibly get another shot of continuing my passion at a collegiate level. During my first deployment on the USS Iwo Jima, my father’s cancer came back strong and eventually he lost his battle. My whole time in the service I have had my eyes set on playing college football and I never have let go of my passion despite the adversity life has thrown at me. I firmly believe I possess the work ethic, mental toughness, and leadership to be an excellent addition to any Univeristy both on and off the field.
