I was a three year wrestler from New Britain High School, in New Britain, Connecticut. My senior year, the team compiled a record of 18-14. I wrestled at the 132 and 138 weight class, usually bumping up to prevent the team from losing team points to forfeits. In the 2014-2015 season, I led my team in reversals, with 10 in the season. I took pride in being utilized as a flexible wrestler, more than willing to focus on what would help the team vs what would help my own record, even if it meant wrestling up a weight class constantly.
Upon graduating high school, I shipped out to the United States Navy on August 4th, 2015. I completed my “A” and “C” School in Virginia, and graduated as an intelligence specialist. While there, I competed in multiple Marine Corps Martial Arts Program Jiu Jitsu tournaments, placing in 2, and winning 1. I am currently in the Reserves as a Petty Officer 3rd Class, and have continued to wrestle while in the Reserves, at tournaments including MAWAs and the Nutmeg State Games. I have also been assisting the New Britain High School Wrestling team, and am looking for a college team to allow me the honor of continuing to compete in the sport I love, and to represent that school with the upmost pride in both the classroom, and on the mat.
